Let this post be taken as something of a diary entry, because it is. I started to write this elsewhere, but then thought might as well lay myself a bit bare.
I had a scary dream last night. The type that makes you remember that it’s been a while since you’ve dreamed, and that makes you really ask what the hell is going on, maybe this is worth paying attention to. Damn it!
To avoid this becoming a written variation on those famously mind-numbing dream-wandering, explaining, and betraying conversations that people constantly fall victim to, I will instead use this dream as a prompt. WordPress suggests me to use prompts, but those are more like ‘What is your favourite recent meal’; not a bad question, all things considered! In fact, maybe that is a better one than what I was going to offer ( it might lend itself to a discussion about where people have been recently, their love for certain flavours over others, which could lead to nostalgia, etc etc). But I will stick to my guns:
In my dream, I saw Fire and Water in very close proximity to one another, not quite touching, but coming close. So, let the next contributions on Blood Blister Blog be about contradictions.
I would be most obliged to hear about times (past or imagined), which appear to you, the reader (and now writer), to pivot around a stark contrast , brought into relief.
This could be anything from a near death experience, to a memory infused with opposite colours on the spinning wheel!
LEt rip!!!!
(As usual, input into contributions window on the site. &—-)
